History of NCE
Nazilli Commodity Exchange was established and registered by the Ministry of Trade in 1966 within the scope of the law no. 5590. As five occupational committee couldn't be made up., the board of election appointed the assembly with the vote of occupational groups on September 8, 1966. A. Fuat Amasya, Alim Mumcu, Hilmi Erten, Ragıp Kutsal, Emin Elgün, Mahmut Bükey, O. Zeki Gökçe, Ahmet Erkut, A. Erdoğan Sütçü and Nuri Dokumacı were the first council members. In fact, the commodity exchange started to function properly as of January 1, 1967 with its 75 members. The commodity exchange building is constructed on an area of 487 m2.
The very first registration of the commodity exchange was the registration of the cotton seed purchase of Söke Değirmencilik Limited from Sümerbank Nazilli Basma Sanayi Co. for 0.76 TRY on March 3, 1967. From that time on, Nazilli Commodity Exchange become an important actor in the economic life of its region acting within the scope of the concerning law and regulations.
In 2004, after the enactment of the Chambers, Commodity Exchanges and Unions law no. 5174 we started to function and carry out our activities under this law and related regulations.
